    Simulation Technology

Keeping people in peak performance

Pivot simulators aim to keep mariners in peak performance. Powered by cutting edge technology, they are known for their accuracy, flexibility, and affordability.

Client Markets

Our clients come from the commercial shipping, recreational boating, and defence sectors.

Maritime training institutions, maritime safety regulators, shipowners, ports, pilots, tug providers, and defence organisations use them for training, competency and operational assessment, and research.

The Triple A of Simulation

Accuracy. Availability. Affordability.

Three strengths that separate us from the rest

We pride ourselves in building powerful bridge simulation systems that can do many tasks with mathematical precision, from basic to complex, at a fraction of the cost of typical maritime simulators.

We have designed them to be flexible, modular and robust so they can travel anywhere and operate even in harsh environments.

Pivot bridge simulators comply with the simulation requirements of DNV-ST-0033 and STCW 2010.

Simulation Products

Pivot simulators range from highly portable desktop simulators to full-mission simulation systems.

Big or small, off the shelf or custom built, our simulators come equipped with real ship controls and real navigation equipment.

The simulation environment is accurate and realistic, with calculations based on mathematical algorithms, giving clients a high level of confidence in simulation results.

Our simulators are put to work in different settings: Navigation. Port design and operations. VTS. Towage. Pilotage.

Our flagship simulators, which range from fixed bridge systems all the way to a single transport case, are featured below.

Fixed Bridge Simulator

Fixed Bridge Simulator

BRIDGESIM is an integrated full mission shiphandling and navigation bridge simulator installed in a client’s simulation facility. It comes with real type-approved navigational equipment and is designed based on client specifications. Our fixed systems are highly configurable to suit different operational, training and assessment requirements.

Containerised Simulator

Containerised Simulator

CONTAINERSIM is a full mission 360˚  shiphandling and navigation bridge simulator for use onboard ships or on land. It is configured as a real ship’s bridge inside a shipping container (20ft or 2x40ft), providing a highly immersive simulation environment, with navigation equipment, ship movements and operating environments replicating those of the real ship.

VR Motion Chair

VR Motion Chair

SIMCHAIR simulates a vessel’s movements (yaw, roll, pitch) in sync with a VR headset that delivers a highly immersive experience. The navigator manoeuvres the vessel in a simulated maritime environment, using real ship controls and VR to provide 360˚visuals, with conning, radar and ECDIS all integrated within the VR environment. It features the same simulation accuracy and visual realism as our other models.

MultiPurpose Simulator

MultiPurpose Simulator

MULTISIM is a desktop shiphandling and navigation bridge simulator. Like CONTAINERSIM, it simulates actual ships in their typical operating environments with faithful accuracy and realism, allowing navigators to train, practise and prepare, using their ship model, onboard ships or on land.

Sim-in-a-Box

Sim-in-a-Box

Sim-in-a-Box is a highly portable simulator built within a sturdy case with special anti-vibration system to protect the equipment. It can be operated with a large external screen or VR or both. It has real ship controls built-in (wheel, telegraph, thrusters, azimuth controls), VHF radio and an internal screen showing Instructor, Conning, Radar, ECDIS and Visuals. No setup required, just open the case, plug in the power cord and press the ON button. A number of them can also be networked together alongside an external laptop instructor.
